Paragliding, river rafting banned in Kullu till Sept15

The Kullu administration on Sunday banned river rafting and paragliding. The ban will continue till September 15.

Deputy Commissioner Yunus Khan said during the rainy season, the adventure sports activities remain banned.

“The weather becomes foggy in the rainy season, which may affect the paragliding for tourists at Solang and Marhi,” he added.

Due to incessant rain in Kullu-Mandi, the water level of the Beas is alarmingly high. The district administration had issued an advisory for the people to stay away from the Beas and its tributaries to avoid any untoward incident.
