Nurpur girl shines in ICAR exam

NURPUR:Saryu Kaushal, daughter of an advocate, SK Kaushal, has brought laurels to the state by cracking all-India entrance examination of the Indian Council of Agriculture Research (ICAR) Junior Research Fellowship (JRF).

Saryu Kaushal, daughter of an advocate, SK Kaushal, has brought laurels to the state by cracking all-India entrance examination of the Indian Council of Agriculture Research (ICAR) Junior Research Fellowship (JRF). She has secured 99.75 per cent marks and achieved sixth all-India rank.

Saryu after doing Class XII at Comet Mensa Senior Secondary School at Dehri had done BSc (agriculture) in Agriculture University, Palampur, this year. She also appeared for the entrance examination of Sher-e-Kashmir Agriculture University, Jammu, and secured first rank in MSc (vegetable science). In August, she appeared for the ICAR-JRF. 

Her mother Sunita Sharma is working as a senior-scale stenographer in the state Forest Corporation at Dharamsala.
