Mandi team won the senior state hockey championship at Paddal ground here today. In the hockey final, Mandi defeated Una 4-3.

Sardara Singh, former Olympian and captain of Indian hockey team, was the chief guest. He distributed awards to players. He urged the youth to take active part in sports and play the game with spirit. He said there was need to train youth in hockey so that they can represent India at global level. In the three-day event, 10 teams from the state took part. — TNS
