Army truck rolls down cliff, 1 dead

SHIMLA: An Army man was killed and three others injured when their truck rolled down a cliff on the national highway 5 between Galu and Lambidhar in the Theog area, about 12 km from here, today.

An Army man was killed and three others injured when their truck rolled down a cliff on the national highway 5 between Galu and Lambidhar in the Theog area, about 12 km from here, today.

Medical Superintendent, IGMC, Dr Janak Raj said Rajesh Kumar (35) was declared brought dead, while driver Nagapa B Hasabi (34), who hails from Karnataka, was shifted to the ICU.

The others Surjan Turi (34) from Andhra Pradesh and BK Roy (35) from Maner Tela, Danapur, Patna, Bihar, are stable and under observation.

The four personnel were on their way from Ambala to Jhakri, where they are posted. The police have started investigations to ascertain the cause of the accident.
