Doctors remove spoons, toothbrushes, knife from man''s stomach

KULLU: Dr Suraj and Dr Nikhil of Lal Bahadur Shastri Government Medical College in Nerchowk, Mandi, took out seven spoons, two toothbrushes, two screwdrivers, a metal rod, and a knife from the stomach of a mentally challenged man.

Dr Suraj and Dr Nikhil of Lal Bahadur Shastri Government Medical College in Nerchowk, Mandi, took out seven spoons, two toothbrushes, two screwdrivers, a metal rod, and a knife from the stomach of a mentally challenged man. The patient’s condition is reported to be critical and he is in the ICU.

The operation was performed following an X-ray report detecting various metallic objects in the stomach of the patient.

He was rushed to a hospital with a sharp object sticking out of his belly. An x-ray confirmed metal objects in his stomach. He’s now stable, Dr Suresh Gupta, who was the head of surgery of the private hospital in which the man was admitted, said.
