“Central University will soon have its campus and the foundation stone of the campus will be laid in the next two months”, said Anurag Thakur, Member Parliament, here on Friday after inaugurating a hardware store here.

He said the work on laying the railway track to Hamirpur and Bilaspur would also start in the near future and the Government of India had prepared a project of over Rs 2,850 crore and initial sum of over Rs 100 crore had been sanctioned for the survey of the track.

Speaking on the hike in petroleum products, he said the cost of crude oil had increased in the international market and the government was working on how to decrease the cost of petroleum products, including petrol and diesel.

He said the Opposition were fearing the growing popularity of the Modi government and the Congress leaders were opposing the government out of frustration.

Without naming any Congress leader, Anurag Thakur said the country needed a serious and visionary leader to lead the nation not like those who had been a stock of jokes in Parliament.

He said the Opposition had lost the no-confidence motion by 325 votes against 125 votes.

He said the BJP would win over 300 seats in the coming Lok Sabha elections.

Ruling out any discussion on the Lok Sabha candidates in the recent BJP working committee meeting, Anurag said

it was too early to discuss any such issues and the meeting was focused to strengthen the party for the general elections next year. Narender Thakur, MLA, was also present on the occasion.
