Hamirpur, September 9

A political drama marred the Jan Manch programme in Bilaspur yesterday. The programme was organised in Deoth village near Bilaspur which was presided by Urban Development Minister Sarveen Chaudhary.

Former minister and sitting MLA Ram Lal Thakur, BJP state spokesman Randheer Sharma and officers of the district administration were also present.

The trouble erupted when Randheer allegedly started giving wrong information regarding the fourlane highway project. Heated exchanges followed when Randheer said the project was put to halt during the previous regime.

Ram Lal Thakur raised objections and said the BJP leader should know that the fourlane work was being done under the supervision of the Centre. — OC
