Landslide blocks Manali-Leh highway near Marhi; work to restore road on

MANDI: The Manali-Leh highway was on Tuesday morning blocked following a massive landslide near Marhi. The BRO has deployed its workforce and machinery to restore the road for traffic movement.

The Manali-Leh highway was on Tuesday morning blocked following a massive landslide near Marhi.

The BRO has deployed its workforce and machinery to restore the road for traffic movement.

The Chandigarh-Manali National Highway was also blocked just 10 km before Manali at Aloo ground as a major portion of the road was washed away by flooded Beas. Traffic has been diverted from Patlikuhl via the Naggar left bank road between Kullu-Manali.

A total of 22 people died and two were reported missing in the state in rain-related incidents in the past three days.
