Kerala man held with charas

MANDI: The Kullu police have arrested a man from Kerala with 3.382-kg charas. The accused, Joseph Shobal (26), hails from Perumpadappu. He was nabbed during patrolling at Bajaura.

The Kullu police have arrested a man from Kerala with 3.382-kg charas. The accused, Joseph Shobal (26), hails from Perumpadappu. He was nabbed during patrolling at Bajaura.

Kullu SP Gaurav Singh police said the accused was taking the contraband from Manali to Delhi. In another case, the police arrested Santosh Kumari (40), a resident of Piukar village in Lahaul-Spiti. Following a tip-off, the police raided the house of the accused and recovered 496-gm charas from her. A case has been registered under the NDPS Act against accused. Both accused will be produced in a local court.
