HP BJP chief Satti let off with warning in second EC notice

SHIMLA: Himachal Pradesh BJP president Satpal Singh Satti has been let off for making offensive remarks against Congress president Rahul Gandhi and party leader Priyanka Gandhi as only a warning has been issued to him.

Himachal Pradesh BJP president Satpal Singh Satti has been let off for making offensive remarks against Congress president Rahul Gandhi and party leader Priyanka Gandhi as only a warning has been issued to him.

A decision on the second notice issued to Satti on the directions of the Election Commission of India was taken today. 

A warning was issued by the District Election Officer (DEO), also Una Deputy Commissioner, to Satpal Satti. 

He has been asked to refrain from criticism of all aspects of private life of leaders and workers of other political parties.

Satti has already faced a 48-hour ban on campaigning by the ECI for using abusive language against Rahul Gandhi.
