Himachal Government would push towards introducing Sanskrit in primary schools, Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur said on Monday—some seven months after the Himachal Assembly passed a Bill making it the second official language of the state.

Thakur was addressing the 'Sanskrit Abhinandan Samaroh' as part of the ongoing Sanskrit week celebrations.  He said that the language, considered the “language of gods”, would be made popular in the late.

“Sanskrit is also the most computer enabled language of the world,” he said.
