Governor Kalraj Mishra and Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur greeted people of the state on the occasion of Janmashtami.

Mishra said the festival was a sacred occasion for Hindus and was celebrated with great fervour. The teachings and philosophy of Lord Krishna were more relevant in the present times and everyone should follow them to lead a successful life.

Thakur said Lord Krishna’s philosophy of was enshrined in the Bhagavad Gita and had attracted the attention of entire world. —TNS
