Girl found murdered

A girl was found murdered at her home in Oachghat village near Solan this afternoon. She died after her throat was slit with a sharp-edged weapon.

Superintendent of Police Mohit Chawla SP said preliminary investigations revealed that the girl was alone when the murder took place. The victim, whose age is yet to be verified, was living with her sister and mother in a rented accommodation. The family belonged to Shimla.

According to sources the accused, who escaped after committing the crime, was known to the family and had keys to one of the rooms of the house.
