Fresh snow in Khajjiar, Dalhousie

Khajjiar, Dalhousie and the high-altitude terrains of Chamba district, including Pangi, Bharmour, Salooni and Churah, witnessed fresh snowfall on Sunday evening.

According to reports, interior roads in these areas are blocked. However, tourists continue to throng Dalhousie to witness snow.

Sources said rain in the lower areas would be beneficial for the rabi crops.

Deputy Commissioner, Chamba, Harikesh Meena said machinery had been pressed into service to clear snow from the the roads.
