The Health Department has stepped up its preparedness in Parwanoo after 16 cases of dengue have come to light.

Medical Officer Dr NK Gupta said 16 dengue cases had been detected at ESI Hospital, Parwanoo. The Health Department had started a drive to create awareness about the precautions to be taken to prevent the spread of the disease.

He said besides distribution of pamphlets by health workers, the people were being made aware about the disease. He said fogging would be done by the Municipal Committee staff from tomorrow. —TNS
