Colourful start to Kangra Utsav

The three-day Kangra Utsav began at the Municipal Council stadium on Wednesday evening. It was inaugurated by Agriculture Minister Ram Lal Markanda. Markanda said the need of the hour was to apprise the youth of Himachal’s rich tradition.

Bollywood playback singer Anuj Sharma performed on the first cultural night. Children and youngsters presented colourful programmes. Sufi singer Sunil Sofi delighted one and all. Other singers too gave a mesmerising performance. An inter-college dance competition was held. Miss Himachal Gulmohar was the celebrity guest. Kangra SDM Shashi Pal Negi and Kangra Municipal council president Ashok Sharma were also present.
