Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur on Sunday requested Union Minister of State for Tourism KJ Alphons to approve three schemes worth Rs 300 crore for promoting religious and eco-adventure tourism.

He said a grant of Rs 300 crore would give a major fillip to tourism and bring the unexplored areas on the world map. He added that the tourism promotion would help create the much-needed employment avenues, especially in the remote and rural areas.
