Shimla, September 13

Lashing out at the BJP national secretary Sambit Patra for airing baseless allegations against Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh, Industries Minister Mukesh Agnihotri and Excise and Taxation Minister Prakash Chaudhary today said the BJP leaders were targeting Singh out of vengeance and were making unsubstantiated personal attacks.

In a joint statement issued here, they said that popularity and status of Virbhadra Singh were giving sleepless nights to the BJP leaders and they were out to the malign the image of the Chief Minister by spreading canards against him.

Taking a dig at the ‘Hisab Mange Himachal’ campaign of the BJP, the ministers said first of all the Modi Government should give ‘Hisab” of their ‘Chunavi Jumle’ such as demonetization, black money promise, Make in India drive, Lokpal, etc.

They said that the fact was that price of petrol had gone up to Rs 76 per litre, which was Rs 60 per litre during the UPA regime, price of LPG cylinder had risen from Rs 398 during the UPA rule to Rs 784 per cylinder now, price of pulses from Rs 55 per kg to Rs 170 per kg and GDP from 7.9 per cent during UPA regime to 5.7 per cent during the Modi Government.

The RBI annual report says that 99 per cent of currency after demonetization was back with the RBI, which means the Modi Government propagated falsehood in the name of action against black money and people of the country were made to suffer.
