Shimla, April 23

National security policy of the Congress is silent on dangerous aspects of Kashmir problem and favours Kashmiri militants, said Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur.

In a press release issued here today, he said that while the Indian citizens have backed the surgical strikes and destruction of militants base at Balakot, the Congress is still of the view that surgical and aerial strikes will not change Pakistan’s behavior towards India.

He said that the Congress lacked the spirit and will to tackle terrorists like Afzal Guru responsible for attack on the Indian Parliament and people like Burhan Wani, who advocated stone pelting against Indian armed forces.

“While the whole world believed that the Army had destroyed the base of the militants in Balakot, Congress president Rahul Gandhi still seeks proof of surgical strike from the Modi government”, he said and asked that how Gandhi, who does not believe in the armed forces of the country, can even dream of becoming the Prime Minister.

Meanwhile, state BJP chief Satpal Singh Satti said that bold moves by the Modi government had suppressed terrorism.
