Shimla, February 24
A mega cleanliness and tree plantation drive was organised by the Shimla chapter of the Sant Nirankari Charitable Foundation at Kamla Nehru Hospital here today. Hundreds of followers of the foundation cleaned the hospital and its surrounding areas.
Kusum Sadret, Mayor, Shimla Municipal Corporation, who was the chief guest at the inaugural ceremony said the process to make the charitable foundation the brand ambassador for cleanliness in the state was in process. She also administered an oath to keep the city clean.
The drive was simultaneously undertaken in more than 20 major hospitals across the state to mark the 64th birth anniversary of Former satguru Baba Hardev Singh of Sant Nirankari Mission said zonal in charge Rajwant Bhullar.
The drive was as a part of Guru Puja Diwas and 564 government hospitals in approximately 250 cities across the country were covered under the drive.
