DHARAMSALA: The three-day Dharamsala Residential and International Festival for Theatre (DRIFT) started in McLeodganj on Wednesday. The festival drew tourists in large numbers. Niranjani Iyer, a former faculty member at the National School of Drama, who founded DRIFT, talking to The Tribune, said she was aspiring to involve the locals in theatre. DRIFT is a vibrant community of theatre practitioners from different parts of the country and the world. Two engg students held with charas

MANDIi: The police arrested two engineering students for carrying 140 gram of charas from Jogindernagar on Wednesday. The accused Shubham Takhi (19) of Hamirpur and Sahil Sharma (20) of Thana village in Shimla district were going on a scooter when the police stopped them for checking and recovered the contraband. Both had been arrested. Madan Kant Sharma, DSP, Padhar, said they would be produced before the court to seek a police remand. TNS
