Shimla, June 20

In-charge of state BJP affairs Mangal Pandey today said that on being voted to power the party would hold a probe into all corruption cases and ensure that the guilty were punished.

Pandey was addressing a public meeting at Palampur on the third day of the Parivartan Rath Yatra. “All development in Himachal has come to a standstill as the Congress regime is deep neck in corruption and those violating the law are having a free run,” he said. Other BJP leaders, including former MP Kripal Parmar and former MLA Vipin Parmar were also present at the meeting.

He reiterated the resolve of PM Narendra Modi to eradicate corruption and provide good governance to the people of the state. The BJP has always provided clean and efficient administration whenever it has been in power in Himachal, he said.

Pandey said that while the people remembered Shanta Kumar for providing water to every household and Dhumal for improving road network, Virbhadra Singh would be known for corruption. “He has no time to run the government as he is busy shuttling from one court to another in cases related to corruption,” he alleged.

Shimla MP Virender Kashyap also addressed a public meeting at Hatkoti in the Shimla parliamentary constituency. Former Horticulture Minister Narender Bragta and Chandermohan Thakur were also present during the arrival of the Parivartan Rath. A similar function was held at Nachan in Mandi district in the presence of Mandi MP Ram Swaroop and MLA Jai Ram Thakur.
