In the wake of the forthcoming Lok Sabha elections in state, the BJP has planned meetings of party workers in each constituency. Eying all four Lok Sabha seats in the state, the first meeting would be held in the Mandi parliamentary constituency.

BJP state president Satpal Singh Satti said a meeting of ‘Panna Pramukhs’ (party workers at the grassroots level) would be held in Mandi on November 28 in which Central and top state leadership would take part to chalk out a future strategy.

“A Panna Pramukh works at the booth level and the BJP is making a strategy how to reach out to people to apprise them of the achievements of the state and the Central Governments. Our focus is on winning all four Lok Sabha seats in the state. Efforts are underway in this direction”, he said. Terming the last Congress regime as disappointing, Satti said during his previous tenure, former Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh remained busy with his court cases, which hampered the development of the state.

“Now under the leadership of Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur the state is moving firmly on the path of progress. A medical university has been opened in Mandi district and efforts are under way to set up Central University in Kangra district. The state government was making efforts to ensure forest clearance and transfer of land for ambitious projects,” he added.
