Allegations show Cong desperation: BJP leaders

Condemning the statement of Congress general secretary, Harshvardhan Chauhan on transfers of employees in the state, Education Minister Suresh Bhardwaj and Forest Minister Govind Thakur said 10,000 Demi Official notes (Dos) were not issued and the allegations were baseless as most of the transfers were related to the problems of the people.

In a release issue here today, the ministers said that such allegations without inquiring the facts only reflect the desperation of the Congress and added that most of the transfers made in the present government were already under consideration and were undertaken only on administrative and policy requirements after getting approval of the Chief Minister.

The unnecessary transfers of employees in the regime of previous government needed to be corrected and which is also the responsibility of the government, they said adding that there were several pretexts pertaining to transfers like employees completing their tenure in tribal, sub-cadre and remote areas, medical emergency and other humanitarian grounds could not be ignored.

Employees serving at one posting for many years also needed to be transferred for the administrative requirement. These decisions were taken in public interest. The transfers of the employees on the verge of retirement to the vacant post near their district or station and adopting positive approach in couple cases were certain requirements within the preview of the policy, they maintained.
