Addl Chief Secy given charge of Nauni varsity VC

Additional Chief Secretary (Horticulture) RD Dhiman will hold the charge of Vice-Chancellor of Dr YS Parmar University of Horticulture and Forestry, Nauni (Solan), till the appointment of a regular VC.

The term of the present VC, Dr Hari C Sharma, ended yesterday.

The search committee, headed by Dr Trilochan Mahapatra, Director General, Indian Council of Agriculture and Research (ICAR), New Delhi, has shortlisted five names for the coveted post.

The government will now recommend three names to the Governor, who is the Chancellor of the university, and he will take the final call.
