500 models exhibited at fair

A science fair was held at RIS, Nagrota Bagwan, here today.

About 500 models based on issues such as environment, water conservation, energy, health and pollution check were displayed at the event. Models based on robotics, car racing, flying helicopter and rocket launching were the centre of attraction.

Prof AK Sarial, Vice-Chancellor at Choudhary Sarwan Kumar HP Agriculture University, Palampur, was the chief guest. Jitender Sodhi, Director of Ayush Herbs Private Limited, was the distinguished guest. More than a dozen scientists attended the fair.

Principal Chhavi Kashyap said the students not only displayed their scientific talent through models, but also got an opportunity to interact with eminent scientists and scholars of the region.

In group I, Akshara Walia, Sukrit and Arnav bagged the first position. Vedic Kashyap and Angel got the second position, while Anirudh Kapoor and Amanat clinched the third spot.

In group II, Sanklit secured the top position and Adamya, Anuj, Dhairya got the second position whereas Shikshita Naryal bagged the third position. In group III, Disha , Mayank got the first position, while Abhishek, Yashav and Vinayak Guleria secured the second spot.
