As the weather improved on Thursday, the administration airlifted 18 persons from Udaipur in Lahaul-Spiti.
Two flights were to airlift the people — one from Udaipur and the other from Stingri — but the second flight had to be cancelled. It was diverted to the Pangi region of Chamba district to airlift stranded people.
More than 570 persons have been waiting for the administration’s help. Most are patients and students.
