‘Samman Rashi’ of freedom fighters up

The state government today enhanced the‘Samman Rashi’ of freedom fighters and widows of freedom fighters. It also increased the amount for performing last rites of freedom fighters and their wives from April 1.
A government spokesperson said under the Himachal Pradesh Freedom Fighters Samman Rashi Yojana-1985, the ‘Samman Rashi’ of widows of freedom fighters had been increased from Rs 10,000 to Rs 15,000 per month. The amount for performing the last rites of freedom fighters had been enhanced from Rs, 15,000 to Rs 25,000 and the amount for performing the last rites of wives of freedom fightershad been enhanced from Rs 10,000 to Rs 20,000,he added. — TNS
