‘Community Milan’ held in Nurpur

NURPUR: In order to strengthen the social bond between its members, the local Mahajan Sabha (regd) organised its second Community Milan Samaroh here recently.

In order to strengthen the social bond between its members, the local Mahajan Sabha (regd) organised its second Community Milan Samaroh here recently. The event was presided over by Jangi Lal Mahajan, the national president of All India Mahajan Shiromani Sabha.

Addressing the gathering, Mahajan underlined the need to uplift the economically poor sections of the community and exhorted the local sabha to start a special campaign in this regard.

Vipon Mahajan, the general secretary of the sabha, briefed the gathering about the activities of the sabha initiated for the welfare of the community. RK Mahajan, president of the sabha, welcomed the guests and honoured them with a shawl and a cap.

Fancy dress, drawing and quiz competitions were also organised for children on the occasion. Later, a community lunch was also held.
