Youth Cong leader found dead in hotel room

Mayank Sharma, vice-president of the district unit of the Youth Congress, was found dead in a hotel room under mysterious circumstances on Monday evening.

Mayank’s body was found hanging from a ceiling fan at a hotel located on the Delhi road. The youth was due to get married later this month.

An unsent message typed on his mobile phone stated that he was unhappy with life and was committing suicide, and his parents should be taken care of.

A police team reached the hotel on being informed about the matter and sent the body for post-mortem.

The police investigators maintained that the exact cause of the death would be ascertained after the post-mortem report was received.

An empty beer can and a pack of cigarettes were also found from the room, while Mayank’s father Naresh Sharma has maintained that his son never smoked or consumed alcohol and it seemed that he had been murdered.
