Waqf coaching centre stone laid in Y’nagar

The foundation stone of a Waqf coaching centre building was laid at Sadhaura in Yamunanagar district on Tuesday. It was laid by Rahish Khan, Punhana MLA and Haryana Waqf Board chairman.

He said the Haryana Waqf Board was committed to spreading the light of education among children of the minority community in the state.

Hanif Qureshi, IGP, IRB, Bhondsi, and chief executive officer of the board, said the coaching centre would have a library, reading room and career counselling centre.

He said the coaching centre would aim at searching budding talent and preparing them for various competitive examinations.

“The centre will make books, periodicals and course material for competitive examinations available to students,” he said.

“The Haryana Waqf Boardis already running a coaching centre for the benefit of Muslim children at Punhana in Nuh district. The coaching centre in Sadhaura will become functional in the near future,” he said.

He said the board, established by the government in 2003, was engaged in educational uplift of members of the minority community. Gulzar Khan, advocate and member, Haryana Waqf Board, was present.
