Ambala, June 23

Health Minister Anil Vij today pulled up officials for their lackadaisical attitude and directed them to expedite the work and complete the ongoing projects in the Ambala Cantt constituency.

During a review meeting of the development projects with district officials here today, Vij said: “The government has been providing adequate money and time for the development projects, but due to poor coordination between the departments, the projects are getting delayed. The officials should show personal interests and get the files cleared.”

The minister directed Deputy Commissioner Prabhjot Singh to appoint a nodal officer for constant monitoring of the ongoing development projects.

He asked the officials concerned to seal the Indian Oil Corporation depot if the corporation failed to pay the pending lease amount to the Municipal Corporation and also asked them to fix a date to get the land vacated.

He also ordered an inquiry into a case of employment office complex. In the case, the administration had taken possession of the complex years ago, but an official of the municipal corporation issued a letter to release the property to the person again from whom the possession was taken.

Vij asked the DC to check whether the official was competent to issue such letter or he had any orders from the state government. He asked the DC to get a case registered against the official if he was found violating the rules.

Similarly, he ordered an inquiry into the possession of land of Bihari Lal Turst.
