Two journalists of Hindi daily Hari Bhoomi suffered serious burn injuries after they came in contact with high voltage tension wires here on Saturday. They were rushed to the Civil Hospital where doctors referred them to the PGI, Chandigarh.

Jelly Deoban and Sunil, both working in the news paper’s Kaithal office, were installing a flex board outside their news office opposite Jat School when suddenly the iron frame of the board touched the high voltage tension wires and they received serious burns and fell unconscious. As the wires touched each other, a loud sound and sparks were produced and power supply was disrupted.
