Two electrocuted

PANIPAT: Two persons were electrocuted when they came in contact with overhead wires on the roof of a house in Deshraj Colony here on Friday.

Two persons were electrocuted when they came in contact with overhead wires on the roof of a house in Deshraj Colony here on Friday.

The deceased were identified as Mohit (28) of Deshraj Colony and Mohammad Shehzan (24) of Chandni Bagh Colony. Mohit brought a tin from the market on Shehzan’s rickshaw for his house. When they kept the tin on the roof, it touched the high-tension wires overhead. Both suffered burn injuries and died on the spot.

Colony residents informed the police and the power corporation. Mohit and Shehzan were taken to hospital, where doctors declared them brought dead. The police have started the investigation into the matter.
