Train traffic to be affected today

AMBALA: The Northern Railway is taking a block of five hours and 30 minutes from 11:30 am to 5 pm on Sunday for the construction of a low height subway in place of an unmanned level crossing between Malout and Pakki on the Bathinda-Sri Ganganagar section.

The Northern Railway is taking a block of five hours and 30 minutes from 11:30 am to 5 pm on Sunday for the construction of a low height subway in place of an unmanned level crossing between Malout and Pakki on the Bathinda-Sri Ganganagar section.

Due to the block, the Bathinda-Sri Ganganagar Passenger (54755) train will remain cancelled. The

Ambala Cantonment-Sri Ganganagar Passenger (54757) will be partially cancelled between Bathinda and Sri Ganganagar, while Sri Ganganagar–Ambala Cantonment Passenger (54758) will remain partially cancelled between Sri Ganganagar and Bathinda.

Sri Ganganagar-Ambala Cantonment Intercity Express (14526) will depart from Sri Ganganagar at 3 pm instead of 2 pm, the Fazilika-Bathinda passenger (54560) will depart from Fazilika at 3 pm instead of 12:45 pm, while the Bathinda-Ambala passenger (54556) will depart from Bathinda at 6:50 pm instead of 5:50 pm.

On the other hand, three more blocks (on the Ambala-Saharanpur down line from 11:55 am to 3:55 pm, Ambala station from 12 pm to 4 pm and on the Ludhiana-Ambala down line from 11:10 am to 3:10 pm) will be taken on Sunday for various works.

The Ambala Cantonment-Saharanpur Passenger (64502) will remain cancelled. The partially cancelled trains are the Saharanpur-Nangaldam Passenger (64513) between Saharanpur and Ambala Cantonment, Bathinda-Ambala Cantonment passenger (54552) between Patiala and Ambala Cantonment, and the Ambala Cantonment-Dhuri passenger (54553) between Ambala Cantonment and Patiala.

The Jalandhar-Darbhanga Express (22552) will be regulated for 75 minutes in the Ambala division, and the Katra-Indore Express (12920) will be regulated for 50 minutes in the Ferozepur division. The Pathankot-Delhi Express (22430), Amritsar-Sealdah Express (12380), and the Jalandhar-Darbhanga Express (22552) will be diverted via Sanhewal-Chandigarh. The Nangaldam-Ambala Cantonment Passenger (64516) will depart from Nangaldam at 1 pm instead of 11:30 am.
