Taoru upgraded as Nuh subdivision

CHANDIGARH: The Cabinet today gave its approval to notify some provisions of the Haryana Goods and Services Tax Act, 2017 (Haryana Act No. 19 of 2017) and also approved the Composition and Registration Rules under the Haryana Goods and Services Tax Act, 2017.

The Cabinet today gave its approval to notify some provisions of the Haryana Goods and Services Tax Act, 2017 (Haryana Act No. 19 of 2017) and also approved the Composition and Registration Rules under the Haryana Goods and Services Tax Act, 2017. The Haryana Goods and Services Tax Act, 2017 is to come into force on July 1 .

The Cabinet also notified ‘www.gst.gov.in’ as the common goods and services tax electronic portal to facilitate registration, payment of tax, furnish returns, computation and settlement of integrated tax and electronic way bill.

Subdivision: A proposal of the Revenue and Disaster Management Department to upgrade Taoru tehsil as a subdivision in Nuh district was approved. The new subdivision will comprise 82 villages and have one Kanungo circle, 12 patwar circles, one police station, two police chowkis and a municipal committee.

Approvals: The Cabinet gave its ex-post facto approval to the proposal of the Power Department to provide guarantee of the state government for availing a cash credit limit of Rs 150 crore for availing working capital from SBI, Chandigarh, for Haryana Vidyut Prasaran Nigam Limited.

The Cabinet also gave ex-post facto approval for providing a state government guarantee for availing a demand loan of Rs 50 crore and renewal of the overdraft limit of Rs 100 crore from Dena Bank, Sector 21, Panchkula.

The Cabinet also gave ex-post facto approval to the appointment of Anil Kumar Gupta, a retired Chief Engineer, as Adviser in Irrigation and Water Resources Department from February 1 to January 31, 2018.

It approved the proposal of the Cooperative Department to extend the period of government guarantee for Rs 3,500 crore for floating debentures or loans in a format prescribed by Nabard on behalf of Haryana State Cooperative Agriculture and Rural Development Bank Limited.
