Congress state president Ashok Tanwar has said that he will prefer not to contest the forthcoming state Assembly elections. He stated this while talking to mediapersons at Chang village in Bhiwani today.

He said that new faces, who had been working for the party for decades, should be given the opportunity to contest the Assembly elections and the leaders, who had contested the Lok Sabha poll, should stay away.

Tanwar said that there was no factionalism in the Congress and all leaders were working to strengthen the party under the leadership of Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi.
