Student stabbed to death; two arrested

Rohtak, December 5

A student of Neki Ram Sharma Government College was stabbed to death by a group of assailants, mainly college students, near the college canteen on Wednesday.

The assailants fled after stabbing the student. The incident was captured on a CCTV camera.

The victim was identified as Sahil. He was a BA final-year student from Jind district. The police registered a case and arrested two students of the same college.

Arecent altercation was said to be the reason for the murder. Sahil’s friend recently had a quarrel with a student of some other group.

Sahil had reportedly intervened to resolve the issue. Following this, Sahil had been threatened with dire consequences by members of the other group. — TNS
