Saini’s party announces Jind candidate

JIND: The Loktantra Suraksha Party (LSP) led by rebel BJP MP Raj Kumar Saini has announced the candidature of Vinod Ashri for the Jind byelection.

The Loktantra Suraksha Party (LSP) led by rebel BJP MP Raj Kumar Saini has announced the candidature of Vinod Ashri for the Jind byelection. With this, the LSP has become the first party to announce its candidate.

Shripal Saini, LSP chairperson, on Wednesday said the party was confident of winning the Jind seat. “The LSP will get an election symbol in a couple of days,” he said.

Ashri, a Brahmin leader, was the chairperson of the Jind Municipal Committee for two consecutive terms in 2005 and 2009. Before joining the LSP, he was a member of the state executive committee of the Congress.
