Rs 290-cr projects for Sonepat

Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar today laid the foundation stones of 10 development works and inaugurated three projects worth around Rs 290 crore.

The three major projects for which the CM laid the foundation stones included Rs 114-crore sewerage system expansion work, Rs 87-crore project for covering drain no.6 passing through the town and Rs 58-crore project for the augmentation of the drinking water supply in 16 colonies of the town and 10 villages incorporated in the Sonepat Municipal Corporation.

Besides, the CM laid the foundation stones of seven other projects, including widening of roads, construction of a power plant and school buildings estimated to cost around Rs 20 crore. He also inaugurated two 33-kV power substations and a school building completed at a cost of Rs 9.14 crore.

The CM said the new projects would be completed on priority basis. He claimed that the construction of the Kundli-Manesar-Palwal expressway would be completed next year.
