Ram Niwas, Additional Chief Secretary, (Home), has urged Dera Sacha Sauda followers to respect the court’s judgment in the case against the dera head , whatever it be, to be announced on August 25 and help maintain law and order in the state.
Interacting with mediapersons shortly after holding a video-conference with police and civil administration regarding the law and order situation in view of the impending judgement, he said: “We would not let anyone disturb peace as well as the law and order situation”. He was accompanied by BS Sandhu, DGP.
Ram Niwas said 35 companies of the paramilitary forces had already reached the state. “We have requested the Centre to provide additional forces and it is hoped that the state would soon get the required companies of forces. Apart from this, leave of state police personnel has been cancelled”, he said.
The police would keep vigil on anti-social elements through drone cameras . Videography would also be carried out in sensitive areas.The inter-state borders had been sealed and anti-social elements were being monitored through check-posts.
DGP: Fully prepared to maintain law & order
BS Sandhu, DGP, said law and order would be maintained before and after the court’s judgment. The DGP said he had visited nine sensitive districts and instructed officers of the police and civil administration to maintain law and order. The Haryana Police was fully prepared to deal with any situation.
