Panchkula court grants bail to Hooda in Manesar land deal case

A Panchkula special CBI court on Tuesday granted bail to former Haryana chief minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda in the Manesar land deal case.

He was awarded bail on two sureties of Rs 5 lakh each.

Punjab and Haryana High Court sitting judge’s son Gaurav Chaudhary, who is also an accused in the Manesar land deal case, also got bail.

Earlier, Hooda appeared in the court. Rohtak MP and Hooda’s son Deepinder Hooda, along with around 15 MPs and MLAs, was present outside the court complex. There were also a number of Hooda supporters.

Former Haryana Vidhan Sabha speaker Kuldeep Sharma, who was also present, said they would fight the battle in the court as well as in public.

Meanwhile, Hooda said he had full faith in judiciary. It is a politically motivated case, he said. “Will fight the legal battle in court and the political battle in the field,” Hooda said.
