One arrested in JBT teacher murder case

AMBALA: The Ambala Police have arrested Sahil Rana, a resident of Shahzadpur, Ambala, for his involvement in the murder of JBT teacher Session Kumar Judge.

The Ambala Police have arrested Sahil Rana, a resident of Shahzadpur, Ambala, for his involvement in the murder of JBT teacher Session Kumar Judge. The accused was produced in a local court, which sent him to six-day police remand.

Naraingarh Deputy Superintendent of Police Amit Bhatia said, “Sahil Rana has been arrested from Shahzadpur in connection with the Session Kumar murder case. He along with Kuldeep Rana had opened fire at Session Kumar. There are four cases including murder and attempt to murder against him.”

The DSP informed that Sahil wanted to have its own independent gang on the lines of Monu Rana and Bhupi Rana. He was in touch with some criminals, they have been identified and efforts are being made to arrest them. The investigation is still on. So far seven accused have been arrested in this case.

On July 9, 40-year-old Session Kumar Judge was shot dead near Bakarpur village when he was on his way to the school on a motorcycle.

In January last year, Monu Rana was attacked on the premises of the Yamunanagar court when he was produced by the police in a murder case. Sahil, a Bhupi Rana Gang member, was involved in that attack. — TNS
