Cow dung and sludge is causing inconvenience of residents. No one is willing to shift these dairies owing to political and personal reasons. —Vipin Chander 

No lighting system on highway

Faridabad: The entire 20-km stretch of the highway connecting Faridabad with Gurugram, two of the leading commercial and industrial hubs of the state, remains under darkness at night as the company that constructed it has failed to provide lighting on the highway. The company has been collecting toll of several lakh from commuters each month. Lack of proper lighting is posing a risk to commuters. Several accidents have taken place due to improper safety provisions. — Jitender Bhadana

Outstanding property tax

The state government has provided great relief to property taxpayers by giving them interest rebate on the lump sum of the property tax arrears from 2010-11. Even as the common man is paying his property tax on time, various departments and reputed institutions under the Central and state governments have not been showing interest in the matter. There is an outstanding property tax of crores on these government departments and reputed institutions. Why are municipal corporations, councils and committees not taking any action against them? The government and Chief Minister Manohar Lal should pay attention to this. — Shakti Singh

Heavy electricity bills irk residents

Jagadhri: Due to the lackadaisical attitude of UHBVN officials, residents of Sector 20 in Ansal town are compelled to pay heavy electricity bill. Electricity bills have not been delivered to residents and no UHBVN employee has visit the town for taking meter reading for the last six months. Residents are at the receiving end of this negligence. — NK Dhiman
