There seems to be no takers for the JJP-AAP’s ‘alternative politics’ in Haryana. The dismal performance of the alliance in the LSelections has indicated that it is yet to make its mark in Haryana’s politics.

The alliance polled over 5 per cent votes which seems to be unimpressive as compared to the BSP-LSP alliance, which also polled almost the same number of votes. The AAP, which runs a government in neighbouring Delhi, polled just around 0.36 per cent votes, a pale shadow of its 2014 Lok Sabha performance when it got around 4.32 per cent votes. The only saving grace for the alliance was that one of its prominent leaders Dushyant Chautala managed to bag the second position in Hisar.

However, the JJP can take solace from the fact that it performed better than its parent party, the INLD.
