Nirmal elected Karnal Bar chief

KARNAL: Nirmal Staundi was elected president of the Karnal Bar Association (KBA) today, defeating Raj Kumar Chauhan by 111 votes.

Nirmal Staundi was elected president of the Karnal Bar Association (KBA) today, defeating Raj Kumar Chauhan by 111 votes. While Staundi got 587 votes out of the total 1,169 votes, Chauhan got 476 votes.

Returning officer Brijesh Sharma said Abhishek Nagpal was elected vice-president, defeating his nearest rival, Randhir Rana, by 216 votes.

Rahul Bansal was elected treasurer in a triangular contest while Kanavdeep Singh bagged the post of secretary by defeating Vikas Panwar by 83 votes . Mohit Choudhary was elected joint secretary, defeating Narinder Sharma by 509 votes.
