In a bid to ensure that police personnel follow traffic rules, the district police have launched a drive, under which a WhatsApp number has been launched.

Any person sharing photographs and videos of police personnel driving two-wheelers without helmet on this number will be given a reward of Rs 1,000.

People can share information related to gambling and illegal sale of liquor and narcotics. They will be given suitable reward by Superintendent of Police Surinder Singh Bhoria.

“We have launched the WhatsApp number 8570885704. Anyone can share photographs of cops driving without helmet. We will give a reward of Rs 1,000 and keep details of the informer a secret,” said Bhoria.

He said initially, they would focus on cops driving without helmet. “I have issued directions to all SHOs to seize Bullets with modified silencers for one month,” he added.
