Chandigarh, October 18

Former Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda could not attend Rahul Gandhi’s rally in Mahendragarh as his helicopter was denied permission to land in Sonepat. Hooda was scheduled to fly from Sonepat to Mahendragarh. His programme in Badli got affected as well.

“I am not aware why the helicopter was denied permission. I understand that security could be an issue as the Prime Minister was to address a rally in Sonepat. By that time, he had left,” he said.

The Congress issued a statement that permission was denied as part of a conspiracy. — TNS
