Contract killers yet to be nabbed

Two contract killers, who allegedly shot dead a man from Mithaka village in Hathin subdivision on September 7, are still out of bounds.

The deceased was identified as Umar Said (40). He had married a 22-year-old Hindu girl, who had eloped with him against the wishes of her family, in a court on February 7.

The police have already arrested the girl’s father, Jaswant, a native of from Mangleswar village in Rewari district. He was sent to judicial custody after his five-day police remand was over on Wednesday.

“We have identified two contract killers and likely to arrest them soon,” ASI Rakesh, investigating officer, said, adding the identity of the contract killers could not be disclosed.

The contract money of Rs2 lakh was still to be paid. — TNS
