Education minister to inaugurate Rs 11-cr IHM campus today

Education and Tourism Minister Ram Bilas Sharma will inaugurate the campus of Institute of Hotel Management (IHM), Panipat, on Wednesday. The project has been completed at a cost of over Rs 11.22 crore and aims at providing quality education and better facilities to the students.

Additional Chief Secretary, Tourism, Vijai Vardhan said Karnal MP Sanjay Bhatia and Panipat MLA Rohita Rewari would also grace the occasion. He said the institute has been equipped with the state-of-art facilities which enable the students to hone their skills.

He said the IHM, Panipat, competes with the best institutes in the country as it has wide range of facilities, including bakery, advance training kitchen, basic training restaurant, mock up rooms, housekeeping lab, library, quantity food kitchen, and dry store etc.

With the state-of-the-art facilities and experienced pedagogy, the institute offers an array of courses designed to suit the needs of aspirants. With no dearth of seats, there is ample scope for admissions, he said.

The IHM, Panipat, a registered society, is an autonomous body under the Department of Tourism, Haryana. The institute is affiliated to the National Council for Hotel Management and Catering Technology, Noida.
